As a South Florida realtor, I had the feeling that a very large inventory was gradually shrinking. It started with condos, on or close to the beach areas. And it then started to spread to all sectors of residential real estate. On the beach, the inflow of new listings is rather scarce and we are at a very low historical inventory; however, we are seeing some new short sales and foreclosures adding to the available properties. However, we are not dealing with local buyers, but rather with out-of-town and foreign cash buyers and investors.
